Hi Phil I am Geoff Brown X-Pat from Barnsley Emigrated to Australia June 1972 Never looked back mate but I have missed watching the Reds play
I came back to Worsbro Bridge 7 months ago to do a lot of fishing with my brother Dennis he lives just between Dale & Bridge I grew up in Pretoria Worsbro Dale
went ta dale primary school then white cross then 15 years old left school on Friday started down Barnsley Main pit as a pony driver when alt pit shut darn left for
Australia shit scerd got of the ship in Sydney with $400.00 dollars spent $200 on a car started work the next day and the rest my friend in 40 odd years of hard yakker
my little girl was 16 months old now a school teacher my son was 3 hes now a builder we have a beautiful 4 bed room home with granny flat in ground salt water pool
i have my new Honda Goldwing GL 1800 Airbag model wife's just got a new 4+4 Nissan Dualis So everything,s good now time to rest im retired now after the last 25 years at woodland rd public school doing the maintenance cheers Phil Geoff

Welcome Geoff, Worsbro Bridge eh, I spent a lot of time there as a kid, do you remember the little corner shop on the main road next to the lake/lido. It was my Grandads in the 60's used to spend ages in the back making penny lollys flippin slave labour it was 
I only ever got paid in lollys ,
I also spent ages wandering round the lake in those days the end nearest the road was "looked after" but the topend was just natural and left to get on with it.
So its my Grandads fault I had the odd visit to Oakwell..............good job I saw the light
